The Anatomy of Memory
Nine Hells began with poetry I wrote in the mid-to-late 1990s, between the ages of fifteen and twenty-two—years when love, loss, pain, and pride arrived raw and unfiltered.
Those pages held feelings I could not yet say aloud. Decades later, I returned to them and rebuilt the poems as lyrics, preserving their original emotion while giving them the structure and timing that music demands. The heavy metal and gothic melodies of the ’80s and ’90s that raised me became the architecture around them.
My study of occult literature—especially Dante’s Inferno—gave the album its nine-circle framework, with each song representing a circle in order. This album is not about money or fame. It is a personal promise finally kept: proof that I turned the chaos of who I was into something shaped by the person I became.

How it was built
The Architecture of the Music
Every song begins with a fragment—a line of poetry, a phrase of melody, or a thought that arrives in the middle of the night. I build from there layer by layer: structure first, texture next, atmosphere last. I design the skeleton of the sound before it is given flesh.
Magister Frost is built around one creative vision rather than a fixed band. I maintain creative control while hired session musicians and MIDI-designed synthetic sounds bring the work to life. The players serve the song, allowing the music to evolve without losing its center.
What matters is not who plays each instrument, but that every note, word, and shift in tone speaks with one deliberate voice. Each song is a ritualistic summoning of emotion—the orchestration of a personal idea rather than a collaboration in the conventional sense.
