The person behind the work
Magister
Frost
Creator. Satanist. Author. Artist.
I am Magister Frost. This is my life, and these are the things I have built from it. Every work gathered here comes from what I have experienced, believed, imagined, and chosen to create.
My creative life began in the underground culture of the early 1990s, when bulletin board systems and the emerging Internet offered new territory for ideas that rarely found an honest place in conventional media. Satanism was never separate from what I created. It was the philosophy beneath it: self-ownership, individual judgment, and the refusal to live according to identities assigned by others.
Over the decades, that philosophy has taken form through online communities, publications, technology, independent companies, writing, and music. The projects differ in purpose and appearance, but they share a common foundation. Each begins with an idea and the determination to give it a form that can exist in the world.
My music is the most personal expression of that process. It is a personal vision rather than a conventional production. My words, concepts, structures, and atmosphere come to life under my unique creative direction, my life unfolding note by note and my history and experiences unveiled word by word. Each song was composed from the words and feelings of poetry I have written from the late 1990s to today. What began with my time as a member of the band “DiesL Rae” in the 1990s is being completed through this solo project.
My forthcoming autobiography, The Devil Was Never the Point, draws these seemingly separate pieces together. The website offers a view of what I have created. The book will tell the story of why it was built, what happened behind it, and what it cost to remain its author.
One continuous design
“My work has taken many forms. My will behind it has always remained the same.”
